Gas Turbines
QUICK
Technology provides for expert on-the-ground, on-the-engine
and on-the-airframe jet engine health monitoring
systems. Acquiring data from vibration sensors, shaft
tachometers and other performance parameters, our
systems provide for expert diagnostics on the ground
and in the air. Our systems also provide the latest
fan trim balancing capabilities which allow optimum
balancing solutions based on either flight or ground
acquired data.
These solutions are readily applied to other gas
turbine applications including marine and energy
(power generation and pumping stations).
Rail and train monitoring
Railway
and tram lines suffer from deterioration through
fatigue, stress and damage which can ultimately result
in failure and catastrophic incidents. This deterioration
can be detected through changes in the characteristics
of vibration, acoustic and other primary measured
data when fused with secondary performance parameters
such as train speed, etc.
QUICK Technology provides for integrity monitoring
of railway and tramway lines through the acquisition
and processing of primary measured spectral and/or
time-series data. Primary data is acquired from “on-board” sensors
mounted on rolling stock and/or the locomotive itself.
The features and characteristics of entire railway
networks can be “mapped” to allow gradual
deterioration or condition step-changes to be detected
and notified.
Pipeline
monitoring
There is a growing requirement for the monitoring
of pipelines to provide adequate safety for the public
and environment, as well as safeguard against product
and revenue loss. QUICK Technology provides the following
solutions…
Detection of pipeline tapping -
determine when and where unauthorised tapping is
taking place
Pipeline Integrity Monitoring -
determine when and where leaks of gas and liquids
take place
Detection of third party intervention (TPI) -
attributable to a large percentage of pipeline incidents,
for example QUICK Technology can distinguish between
acceptable local “activity” and that
of a hazardous nature
Power plant
Complex engineering systems often require complex
signal monitoring twenty-four hours a day,
with condition monitoring specifically trained
and tailored to such systems. Our technology can
be applied and tailored to meet your specific requirements,
giving you the diagnostic tools you
need for efficient and continuing operation
of your engineering systems.
Power Plants: The technology provided
by Oxford BioSignals has been applied to conditioning
monitoring of many power plant applications and markets.
Advanced signal processing solutions can monitor
relevant performance parameters of power plants and
can be trained to detect system degradation and component
failure. Data fusion of performance data can provide
added diagnostic capability and robustness of monitoring.
Our team of skilled engineers believes in working
with you in order to fully understand the application
area and to specify and produce a solution completely
tailored to your requirements.
Industrial plant
Industrial
Processes: Many industrial processes rely
on reliable and continuous performance of key production
components. Failure of these components can lead
to production downtime and faulty production. Many
industrial processes are complex and are unique
in performance and application.
The correct health monitoring system can be tailored
to detect key component deterioration, and lead to
planned maintenance, reducing downtime and production
disruption. Oxford BioSignals can provide a product
programme to apply health monitoring to many industrial
scenarios, helping you maximise your business returns
and competitive position.
Our team of skilled engineers will work with you in order to:
- fully understand your particular process, requirements
and application area
- specify the requirements for
a health monitoring system
- devise a programme for
achieving this specification
- produce a solution
completely tailored to your requirement
